Fairytales

Embark on an interactive tour around Cyfarthfa Castle.

The naughty fairies have stolen King William's gold coins and we need your help to earn them back!”.

Using four classic fairytales, pupils will carry out various interactive tasks to earn their gold coins. As a reward, pupils will create their own crowns and create their own “Fairy gardens” at the onsite greenhouses.

Ironmasters & Ironworkers: Life in a Victorian Town

During this interactive, taught costume based session, pupils will uncover the differences in life between the Crawshay Ironmasters and some of the most predominant ironworkers. Pupils will also have the opportunity to visit Joseph Parry’s Cottage to discover how everyday life has changed over the last 200 years OR, choose to learn more about Victorian childhood and create a traditional Victorian toy to take home.
